Good Glen and the Bad Eggs

Good Glen & The Bad Eggs

Good Glen and the Bad Eggs is a whack-a-mole style tablet game, created to teach children about egg safety.

Whilst working for a company ‘Apparent’ in Crows Nest NSW, the agency received the brief from the NSW Food Authority to develop a tablet game to set up at the Royal Easter show, engage children to play and incidentally learn about egg safety.

The approach was to develop a whack-a-mole style game with the good egg being ‘Glen’ and the 3 other ‘unrefrigerated’, ‘cracked’ or ‘dirty’ eggs being the eggs to smash.

My part of this brief was to develop the illustrations for the characters under direction of my then design mentor Tom Hutton. Through multiple iterations of the characters we landed on a style and personality for each of these characters to fully engage the player and give the app longevity.
